Role ObjectiveTo lead and manage the Contracts & Procurement function across all three Geographical Areas, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and transparent procurement of goods and services essential for the successful execution of City Gas Distribution projects.• Procurement & Contracting Oversee centralized procurement of indigenous and foreign materials, works, and services through e-tendering. Prepare tender documents, invite bids, and manage bid evaluation and contract finalization. Ensure compliance with procurement policies and government regulations, leveraging NIC e-Tender portal for transparency and competitive pricing.• Contract Management Monitor contract performance to ensure adherence to timelines, scope, and deliverables. Identify and implement amendments or extensions as needed, ensuring contractual obligations are met. Conduct contract review meetings, manage claims, and resolve disputes efficiently.• Vendor & Supply Chain Coordination Liaise with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials in required quantities. Address discrepancies and resolve issues related to faulty materials with urgency. Coordinate with stores for GRN preparation and with Accounts for timely vendor payments.• Inventory & Store Management Monitor inventory levels across all plants to avoid shortages or overstocking. Manage stores operations across all three Geographical Areas, ensuring optimal material handling and documentation.• Systems & Reporting Implement and enhance SAP HANA S/4 functionalities for improved control and utilization. Provide regular MIS reports (fortnightly/monthly) to senior management for informed decision-making.
