ABOUT SHAY NELSON
Hi! I’m Shay Nelson, a sophomore at UW-Madison studying Marketing and Business Management with Consulting and International Business minors. I’m passionate about strategic storytelling and data-driven insights that shape consumer perception. I’m currently pursuing opportunities in market research analytics to help brands better understand consumer behavior and expand their reach through creative, data-backed campaigns. This past summer, I interned at Quiver Quantitative, where I led paid ad campaigns generating 1.27M+ impressions and helped drive a 75% increase in monthly subscribers. I also led SEO strategy, competitor research, and video asset development, gaining hands-on experience across multiple marketing channels. I will be building on these skills as a Digital Marketing Intern for American Family Insurance this summer, focusing on website development, consumer insights, and analytics. On campus, I serve as Co-President of our undergraduate business student government and Vice President of the American Marketing Association, while also partnering with local businesses on pro bono consulting strategy projects. In my role as a Leadership Program Intern at the Accenture Leadership Center, I design and facilitate professional development workshops for over 100 students, further strengthening my skills in peer mentorship, program development, and effective communication.
