ABOUT SHANNON GARNER
A first-class journalism graduate who is a passionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic creative and media professional with two years of freelance journalism experience, specialising in alternative, rock, indie, and pop-punk music/culture. Currently, I\'m acting as Co-Editor of Square One Magazine as well as working for Monopoly Events as their Press and Communications Assistant. In these roles, I carry out day-to-day activities such as organising press requests, liaising with media contacts, and scheduling social media content. I\'ve had bylines in the likes of Clash, Euphoria, Square One, and others; my work spans a variety of formats including news, album reviews, interviews, live reviews, and exclusive features. I also have broadcast experience, including creating multi-media packages, having spent three years producing, conducting, and presenting TV and radio bulletins at Liverpool John Moores University. I am open to freelance work, including news shifts and festival-related roles, as well as full-time roles in journalism, social media, digital marketing, public relations, and copywriting, all within the entertainment industry. Not only am I experienced in music journalism, but I am also experienced in public speaking, digital marketing, artist liaison and personal assisting, all of which would make me a great addition to any team/company.
