I have such an amazing job at the Rangeland Trust! I’ve learned in previous jobs that the most effective conservation efforts are when you engage with the people who are the direct stewards of the land and wildlife you want to help. Here in California, you can’t get much better than Ranchers. The people I work with are passionate about the land, care about their livestock, and take their responsibility for the natural resources on their ranches very seriously. Through the Rangeland Trust, I am part of helping them achieve personal, family, and business goals in conserving their lands, connecting them to financial resources, and building a community of like-minded cowboy conservationists. Meanwhile, we are building bridges between urban and rural communities while helping to improve California’s climate resilience.
