I’m a media broadcasting and business development professional with 15+ years of experience restoring businesses to financial stability. I leverage my passion for organizational growth to lead teams and cross-functional groups to enact long-term change. In my most recent job, I served as President /CEO, consultant, and member of executive committee on board of directors at CSN International (Christian Satellite Network) and Effect Radio Network. In this role, I spearheaded strategic direction for a network with 450+ nationwide stations, increased profits 32% each year, and managed a $2.5M operations budget. I currently host a talk show called, “Voice of Truth with Shannon Scholten”. Voice of Truth is a biblical talk show that discusses politics. The show airs on 500+ radio stations nationwide and is ranked as #1 CSN produced radio talk show. I am adept at business development, strategic planning, and performance management. This blend of skills allows me to audit and develop strategies to propel organizations on a sustainable growth track.I began working with Nevada Business Magazine in July of 2022 and has helped the publication grow and worked to transform the content. I spearheaded the effort to create a new section to capture the business of sports in Nevada, called Game On.Nevada Business Magazine (formerly Nevada Business Journal) is the only statewide business magazine in Nevada and has been published since 1986. The magazine boasts a monthly readership of more than both online and in-print. The majority of the magazine’s readership consists of top-level executives and management and nearly half have a net worth of over $1 million.
