ABOUT SHANNON GONZALEZ
Broker management tenures include leading the Motor License Issuing Division team at Knight Archer Insurance (KAI). Shannon has also been an instructor and board member at the Insurance Institute of Canada (IIC). She was also a Branch Manager at ClaimsPro an SCM Company and a Branch Leader at Henderson Insurance Inc. overseeing personal lines, small business and SGI Auto Fund areas. She has extensive employment experience in all areas of the Auto Fund at Saskatchewan Government Insurance (SGI). Her work background includes a claims management role at the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC). Through Shannon’s varied insurance work assignments and educational opportunities, she has finely tuned her skill-set and abilities in the areas of coaching, training development, facilitation, internal/external public relations and program management. Shannon has been both virtually and in-person facilitating classes in SK and BC; including SGI’s Driving Without Impairment (DWI) program; Responsible Driver Program in BC for Stroh Health Care, and SMART Recovery for Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH). She is currently an Instructor at Douglas College, the Insurance Institute of BC and a board member with Canadian Insurance Claims Managers Association (CICMA). Shannon’s project management experience was utilized when SGI redeveloped its IT structure, content and programming. She helped lead the design, build, testing and implementation of SGI’s Driver Programs. Her employment background has led to a personal focus on creating optimal customer service, and Shannon continues to pursue training opportunities that build on her proficiency in the insurance industry. Her education background includes a Business Administration Certificate (Level II) with the University of Regina, a Fellow, Chartered Insurance Professional designation, certification, Canadian Risk Management (CRM) education and experience with delivering the Fraudulent Document Recognition Program through AAMVA.
