ABOUT SHALIMAR SCHAEFFER
I am a passionate HR professional with 5 years of diverse experience within Human Resources as an HR Manager in the private security field, an HR Generalist in the tech industry, and leader in the retail industry. No matter the role or industry I am someone who always works to high standards. As an HR Manager with Securitas, I developed my skills as a strategic partner for our branch and took the initiative to help improve our area, processes, and program as a whole while also managing the tactical areas of HR as well. We partnered with our clients to provide professional, physical security of a high level in various industries such as retail, tech, insurance, and healthcare. Some of my achievements in this position included improving our candidate and hiring process, improving our onboarding and training process, streamlining our state licensing process, and reducing our turnover. In my other roles at HR Generalist and Retail Operations Manager I worked on policy updates, creating and updating job descriptions and handling employee relations issues. In addition, I am well versed in FMLA, ADA, ER investigations, compliance, performance management, terminations, full cycle recruitment, D&I, leadership, and have a passion for learning more - I am currently working on obtaining my Professional Human Resources PHR certification.
