ABOUT SHALANNA PIRTLE

Certified mediator, adviser, counselor, investigator, speaker, trainer. I serve as a trusted mediator and employment attorney. Leveraging professional acumen and real-world experience, I bring an uncommon perspective to this work. I work with parties to find resolution, no matter the size the dispute, with patience, empathy, creativity, and perseverance. Certified as a mediator by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission, I mediate disputes of varying subject matters at the state and federal levels, both before and during litigation. Mediation is an important tool that can be useful for parties in the resolution of all disputes. Effective mediation is about helping parties sort out their issues, needs, goals, and the ultimate root of the conflict. I have more than 15 years of experience helping a broad range of organizations solve their thorniest employment issues, as well as almost 20 years of professional experience as an employer and an employee, a manager and a team member, a business owner, an advisor, a communicator, and a problem-solver. Across the board, I have extensive experience identifying key areas of dispute, building bridges to better understanding between parties, and helping them find common ground. In my employment practice, I represent employers in all industries and aspects of the employment relationship, including counseling, internal investigations, and litigation. I am admitted to practice before the state courts of North Carolina and Georgia, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of North Carolina and the Northern District of Georgia.
