ABOUT SUNIT SENGUPTA

Got introduced to project management concepts since my early childhood, watching my mother managing household chores which involved dedicated attention, planning, monitoring & controlling cost and resources to deliver every little requirement whilst ensuring the satisfaction and happiness of every family member. In adolescence, I used to wonder and craved to name this skillset. Later as I grew up, I discovered that this skill already preexists and is termed as “Project Management” in professional world. I consider myself to be lucky enough to step into my career with very first assignment which involved construction and project management for the most important basic needs of human lives i.e. “The Electrical Power”. The journey began with 33 kV AIS system to 500 kV AIS/ GIS power substation and transmission/ distribution projects in Indian, south-east asian subcontinent and now in the UKDuring this cognitive voyage, got engaged with reputed organizations which offered me many amazing opportunities to participate in minor roles to senior management assignments, I believe this helped me to attain proficiency in high voltage power system business involving construction, engineering, procurement, project finance, tendering and most importantly, ensuring effective communication management which is utmost essential to achieve the project objective, organizational goals and to meet customer and stakeholder satisfaction. I always acknowledge my seniors and peers who kept inspiring and motivating me to grow and continue learning. As a born learner and silent observer, I feel that the epoch of technology and the digital era exposes every industry to emerging high risk/ threat of change which may challenge the business sustainability. Such factors of risks and the need for business solutions have always inspired me to continue learning and certifications. I trust that this will empower me to continue leading and directing real-world projects with appropriate risk response strategies and also by incorporating quality systems within. I look forward to travel, feel & experience the global ethnic vibe and live the multicultural diversity. I also strive to witness how mega projects are delivered in different parts of the world whilst collaborating with veterans and continue delivering projects with highest standards and professionalism.
