Detailed benchmarking of different systems & subsystems of Mechanisms & Trim parts • Detailed weight target report (BOM) for costing. • Regulation check for parts like Doors, wiper and ORVM. • Defining split lines, gaps & flush condition to studio • Study of design feasibility and providing feedback to studio • Preparing documents like RFQ,SOR • Generation of master section and mounting concepts • Design of 3D for mechanism parts like charger flap assembly, Door handle assembly (torsion spring, bezel, handle, spindle pivot), striker Assembly and trim parts like passenger rear door,cargo front door(Blow molding) and door Trim parts (injection molding),door hinge assembly. • Creation of design proposals & feedback to CFT teams, Working with and defining system Requirements to suppliers for common part developments like Door latch assembly and cable Assembly. • Design of parts based on FRP technology for mule build. • Creating parts by considering DFM, DFA, DFS • Creation of documents like assembly sequence for mule build • Creation of documents like DFMEA such as B-diagram, P-diagram and DV Plan (w/acceptance criteria & test method). • Identifying and solving issues during proto build, CAE testing and field trials • Creation of part & assembly numbers and releasing in Team center.
