ABOUT SEAN COONEY
I currently am the Head of Production for Varda Space Industries. I am a former SpaceX leader with close to 10 years of experience in quality, engineering, and production management on the Falcon 9 and Dragon programs. I led cross-functional teams to improve reliability, streamline operations, and drive performance across multiple production lines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. My work spanned rocket engine assembly, propulsion systems, and full vehicle integration, where I consistently turned complex challenges into efficient, scalable solutions. Outside of work, I enjoy watching and playing sports, exploring new cities, going on road trips, and spotting aircraft.
