ABOUT SCOTT MILLER

I have a BS in biology and spent several years in various molecular biology labs as a research assistant. I subsequently discovered Biostatistics and obtained a MS and PhD in Biostatistics.I worked for five years at the FDA\'s Center for Devices and Radiological Health; first as a statistical reviewer and then as a team leader. I reviewed trial protocols for IDEs as well as pre-market clearance (510k) and approval (PMA) submissions for medical devices - primarily those with orthopedic and neurologic indicationsI then worked for five years at Clinipace Worldwide, a full-service contract research organization (CRO); first as a Biostatistician and then as Director of US Biostatistics, providing full-service Biostatistics services to clients in a range of studies in various indications across the clinical trial lifecycle (Phase I - IV). I currently work as a Director of Statistical Operations at Everest Clinical Research, a full-service CRO, providing full-service Biostatistics services to clients in a range of studies in various indications across the clinical trial lifecycle (Phase I - IV). My goals are to continue to develop my statistical theory and application skills, statistical programming, and communication of statistical information to non-statistician audiences. I believe that research is an important part of that process, as is maintaining and developing contacts with statisticians and other disciplines in the medical research space.
