A core member within the WebSphere Automation development team, based across the UK and US, responsible for the offering of the same name. WebSphere Automation notifies our customers of security vulnerabilities within their WebSphere installations, such that they can take swift corrective actions to patch their installations and secure their data. Furthermore, WebSphere Automation also monitors resources used by WebSphere installations, enabling our customers to optimize and increase the stability of their deployments. This ensures their critical business operations are not interrupted by any adversaries, preventing damage to our client\'s reputation, which otherwise may negatively impact their future business performance. Responsibilities within the team have ranged from leading development of key WebSphere Automation microservices, building integration test frameworks with DevOps container-based technologies, to defining the data models which drive the offering.

ABOUT SCOTT CURTIS

A conscientious individual with a record of continuous workplace, academic, and extra-curricular achievement. I have achieved a high first-class grade degree in undergraduate BSc Computer Science at Newcastle University, attaining a first-class in every module. I am currently a graduate software engineer in the cloud business sector at IBM. Here, I have led development on IBM’s new WebSphere Automation offering and developed scalable RESTful microservice based applications on WebSphere Application Server’s open-source offering, Open Liberty. This has resulted in the development of a language-agnostic, adaptable software engineering skill set, in which I have developed skills in a multitude of full-stack technologies.
