ABOUT SCOTT A.
As Director of Construction in the utility-scale solar and BESS sector, I lead complex, multi-phase energy projects from notice-to-proceed through commissioning—managing teams, contractors, and technical deliverables across the U.S. My core focus is building clean energy infrastructure safely, efficiently, and in full alignment with owner expectations, engineering intent, and contract obligations.I bring over 14 years of experience across construction, mining, chemical, and pulp & paper environments, including 8+ years in renewable energy. From managing multi-hundred MW solar projects in Oregon to navigating international mining installations, I’ve developed a hands-on, outcomes-driven leadership style that bridges field execution with commercial accountability.A key part of my role involves drafting and issuing formal legal and contractual notices—whether enforcing warranty terms, escalating technical issues with OEMs, or supporting claim resolution through documentation and vendor correspondence. I work closely with legal counsel, developers, and procurement leads to preserve project integrity and contractual leverage.I have completed my MBA at the University of Oregon (June 2025) and begun an MSL (Master of Studies in Law) to deepen my fluency in contract law, regulatory compliance, and business negotiation—skills that complement my field experience and enhance my ability to lead at the executive level.Driven by a belief in high-trust teams and clean energy innovation, I thrive at the intersection of field operations, legal structure, and strategic growth.
