ABOUT SCOT ADAMS

Providing strategic consulting services to businesses that interest me. Retired executive professional in the behavior health field, that utilizes a strategic approach to work. I excel at connecting with people, helping them to feel at ease and bringing out their best. I utilize data-based processes, strategic planning, and program evaluations to assist teams to build a quality improvement framework, improving behavioral health challenged fields. I resonate in helping people and organizations move from where they are to a better place. I have had the pleasure of working with community based organizations, state and federal government agencies, educational institutions and in private practice. I was appointed by Governor Dave Heineman, who I represented for the State of Nebraska in developing its behavior health systems of care. I authored, and lobbied for, policies that helped drive Nebraska\'s public behavioral health systems of care. While at the state, I managed 800 employees within an appropriation of over $170 million in funding annually, leading changes in Nebraska. I am recognized on the national, and state levels for my expertise. I have served on those same levels as a consultant, and have provided direct services to families and individuals. Prior to my employment by Governor Heineman, I led Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Omaha for over 13 years as its executive director and 30 years experience there overall, starting the Catholic Charities Foundation, where we grew it to $1.4 million in endowed funds. I have taught at universities, colleges, and other learning institutions which are listed in the experience section. My last full time position helped the Notre Dame Sisters and Notre Dame Housing, Inc, to generate capital and operational funds. My career has always been helping others, whether it is helping them find a place to live, or food to feed their family, or creating better caring and more efficient systems for groups of people in need. Helping people, teaching skills to cope in today\'s world, and inspiring hope continue to be my first love.
