ABOUT SCARLETT MENENDEZ
As a Technical Sales Engineer at Trend Micro, I help clients protect their IT infrastructure and assets from cyber threats and attacks. I have more than five years of experience in the cybersecurity industry, with a background in ethical hacking and programming. I install, configure, integrate, and train others on enterprise cybersecurity tools, such as Trend Micro Cloud One, XDR, and Apex One. I also develop positive partnerships and work closely with IT Directors, CISOs, stakeholders, and operations to align and execute on infrastructure changes in a secure manner. Additionally, I participate in simulated attacks to assess the organization\'s cyber resiliency and run playbook assessments that satisfy cybersecurity compliance requirements. Besides my technical expertise, I am also passionate about promoting open source technology education and empowering the next generation of cyber professionals. I founded a non-profit organization called Neural Oceans, which is dedicated to bringing open source technology education to the public schools of America. Through Neural Oceans, I mentor, coach, and inspire young students to learn and apply programming concepts and cybersecurity skills. You can learn more about Neural Oceans at NeuralOceans.com.
