ABOUT SAVERIO VINCENZO LUCCARELLI
Saverio Luccarelli MD in an Ophthalmologist in Milan, Italy, and obtained his medical degree and residency at the University of Milan. He completed his training at the Agarwal Eye Hospital in Chennai, India, and in the Cornea Clinic of Professor Busin in Forlì, Italy. He is the Head of the Cornea Service of San Giuseppe University Hospital in Milan, his field of interest is on corneal diseases, with a special focus on pediatric cases, and novel lamellar keratoplasty tecniques. His skills are focused in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of complex eye diseases requiring corneal and antherior segment surgery, refractive surgery, complex cataract cases and lens implantation challenges. He actively works in the Ophthalmology Residency program, with mentoring and training of young surgeons. He is member of the Global Consult Bureau of the World Society of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus since 2016.
