ABOUT SASKIA GAULD

I am a Senior Sustainability Consultant with a background in Mechanical Engineering and Product Design with a focus on Circular Economy, Life Cycle Assessments and Eco-Design. These last 3 years I have been supporting AFRY\'s international clients to transition to a circular economy in the automotive, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, finance, infrastructure and energy sector. As a Senior Sustainability Consulting, I am project lead or technical lead for projects in the automotive, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, infrastructure and energy sector. I have been developing and working on following services and projects: • Development of Circular Economy Strategy and Action Plans • Legislative compliance: EU taxonomy, EU Eco-Design Directive for Sustainable Products, PEF and ESRS • Development of Sustainability Scorecard, Circular Economy KPIs, Circular Economy Product Passports and service-based business models • Analysis of material flows and CTI calculations • Development and Implementation of Eco-Design Screening • Circular Economy Workshops • Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) according to the Product Environmental Footprint (PEF) • Streamlining LCA and data collection processes • Corporate Carbon Footprints according to the GHG Protocol Before AFRY I worked at a research institute investigating barriers and drivers of the circular economy. This theory was applied in a practical setting, as the founder and director of an award-winning circular economy design start-up. My engineering and design background helps me to understand the circular economy challenges that products and businesses face from a practical perspective, and I am really enjoying to utilize my cross-sectoral experience in AFRY\'s sustainability projects.
