ABOUT SARAH J. WALTZ-HOARD

If you ask me the number one thing I happen to say on a daily basis, it would be this:There are never enough hours in a day to get done all I need to. I am a busy woman full of ambition and goals. It takes those sleepless nights to help get me where I want to go in my personal and professional life. Here is a quick glimpse of my educational and business background and where I\'d like to go from here.I have a background in business and a nursing background in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) and Emergency Medicine. In 2015 I graduated with an undergraduate degree in Business Administration with a concentration in healthcare and management while completing prerequisites for entry to a nursing program. Shortly after, I completed a Bachelor of Nursing Degree. My continued education consisted of a focus on Professional Management at the University of Notre Dame and soon after a certificate in Professional Leadership Skills from Harvard University’s online Business School. Shortly after, I completed my Family Nurse Practitioner degree (FNP) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) through Texas A&M University. Presently, I am a PhD student at the University of Florida in their Executive Health Systems Leadership program and work as a part-time Cardiology Nurse Practitioner. My rigorous graduate education has equipped me with the skills and resources that serve beneficially in each aspect of my career and life. Such skills I have developed include time management, intent focus on detail and precision, and excellent communication abilities. Besides, I have proven to lead others well in managing and heading group projects and procedures. In my free time, I enjoy fishing on Florida’s Gulf Coast, horseback riding, watching sports, and hiking. While I am an easy-going kind of gal, my family, friends, and colleagues would say that I am goal-oriented, funny, a straight-shooter, and have as Type-A of a personality as it comes. But, most importantly, I have a passion for healthcare, cardiology medicine, and working with people. I enjoy getting to know new people, learning new things, and gaining insight into organizational culture. My goal is to walk alongside each business partner we navigate obstacles and share victories together while we assist those out in our community with life-saving technologies.
