ABOUT SARAH HOLMES

Three words to describe my work: Connection- Curiosity- Creativity (and also a little bit pirate ‍) I’m studying a part-time Masters degree in inclusion alongside other participatory work that feels authentic and values-led. I don’t take that lightly. It’s important. Being human is at the heart of my work. It is often a battle to keep it centred, but it is THE work.I love collecting experiences and knowledge. I hope that one day I will be able to contribute to knowledge as well. People are so interesting. Community is a great adventure. Citizenship is a joy and a privilege to be shared by everyone.Current work-Consultancy, Co-production, Facilitation, Training, Coaching, Mentoring, & Development work for Health & Social Care, Third Sector & Community-based organisations-Visual thinking, Visioning & Creative change management-Stakeholder engagement and Co-production, working with people who share their lived experience (people, families & carers), Story gathering, Change/impact/influence evaluation work, Supporting strategic direction work steered by voices of lived experience-Independent Support Broker/Advocate-Planned Lifetime Advocacy Networks (PLAN) facilitator-Person Centred Planning facilitator-Be Humankind facilitator-No Barriers Here facilitator-Pinpoint facilitator -Community Reporter -SHOOPERIndustry experience-Facilitating Co-production across a range of places, spaces and diverse groups of people-Company Director (CIC/Social enterprise) and Charity Trustee-Business Development Manager for Health and Social care sector organisations-Management, leadership & development of Health & Social Care provider services-Referral, assessment and service development/Individual Service Design for people with a wide range of intersecting support needs-Personalisation (Personal Budgets, Personal Health Budgets) & Self-Directed Support-Working with Third sector/community based organisations to develop inclusive & community-led approaches-Advocacy (Adult Health & Social Care; Children & Young People)-Training, Facilitation, Mentoring and Consultancy in all of the above subjectsI\'m developing a keen interest in the wider picture of the global economy, the organisation of welfare provision and the governmental policies which underpin and drive this.
