ABOUT SARAH TAFOLLA

I am the 4th generation in my family to work in the title business and have over 27 years of experience. I started working in the title industry as a runner and assistant when I was 17 in my small hometown of Uvalde. I moved to San Antonio for five years and worked for Fidelity Residential Solutions in the relocation department and Stewart Title as an escrow assistant. In 2003 I moved back to my hometown and purchased my grandfather’s title company, Garner Abstract & Land Company. This was when I got my escrow license and began managing the business, doing title searches, commitments, closings and policies. In 2010 I sold the title company but continued to work there as assistant manager for several years. In September of 2014, I took the Regional Manager position with Mission Title where I stayed until April of 2021. I then went on to work remotely for OSNational/Opendoor where I was an associate manager in escrow operations. In May of 2023 I went to work for First State Bank of Uvalde as a lending assistant. I found that I enjoyed mortgage so much that I decided to take it a step further by going to school and getting licensed to originate loans in Texas. I now work for City First Mortgage as an Outside Sales Loan Originator. Although I enjoy lending I feel my heart will always be in title and I hope to eventually get back into that side of the industry.
