ABOUT SARAH DAVIES

Sarah is a Digital GIS Principal within the Central Digital team at Mott MacDonald with 15 years\' experience in spatial analysis, GIS technology, data management and visualisation for large infrastructure projects. She specialises in the application and implementation of geospatial data, tools and processes for the delivery of major projects, supporting multidisciplinary teams adopt and use best practice across different sectors including water, energy and transport. Sarah leads both internal resourcing and project delivery teams, bringing people, data and systems together to help meet the complex requirements and challenges faced in the industry. She collaborates with technical, information management, data engineering and solution teams to ensure an integrated and coordinated approach. Experience in GIS data acquisition, management, and coordination for infrastructure projects in the UK through both DCO and hybrid Bill applications. This work has included data and information management strategies for GIS in line with BIM, data governance, and GIS support for environmental topic teams. An MSc graduate in Remote Sensing and Spatial Analysis from the University of Southampton. Worked with ImageCat UK Ltd for MSc dissertation to determine the level of early recovery in Haiti after the 2010 earthquake using satellite imagery, GIS and GPS-registered digital video footage. Prior to that, completed a BSc (Hons) in Geography, also from the University of Southampton. Previous work experience for HydroCo Ltd including water network modelling and pressure and flow logging.
