Help modernize the Office’s legal practice as to the gathering, review, and production of discoverable materials, allowing our prosecutors to focus on evaluating their cases with an eye toward fair and just prosecution-Oversee the BWC Unit -oversee the tech services/ multimedia services unit-Develop a comprehensive legal document bank containing template motions, court minutes of expert witnesses, practice guides for investigations, hearings, and trials, as well as universal forms-Keep executive staff apprised of operational and legal needs as well as the ongoing efforts to devise solutions to address various needs of the office and innovation to enhance prosecutions -Regularly meet with internal NYPD Discovery Liaison Unit and external members of various agencies to streamline discovery -In conjunction with IT, implement and oversee the use of e-discovery tools and confer with IT regarding the the continuing development of Case Management to support the Office’s constantly evolving discovery practices and to streamline the discovery collection process-Attend periodic interagency discovery convenings (and address practice issues that arise therefrom), with agencies-Lead the training of various units to focus their efforts on creating efficiencies in the gathering of materials and creation of exhibits-Train ADAs in effectively using the newly created tools and applications, in using and presenting digital evidence and liaising with various bureaus and DEL in the creation of such materials to comply with current caselaw -Lead the effort to update the court house technology to allow ease of presenting digital and photographic evidence -conduct various trainings internally and externally on proper use of technology
