ABOUT SANTOSH KUMAR BIRADAR

I am a Beamline Scientist at Diamond Light Source, located at the Harwell Campus in Oxfordshire, UK. I also serve as Project Manager for Diamond’s International Science Partnership Fund (ISPF) programme, a collaborative initiative involving ISIS Neutron and Muon Source (UK), Diamond Light Source (UK), and Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI, Switzerland).In addition, I am a Honorary Research Fellow at Imperial College London. Before joining Diamond, I held postdoctoral research positions at Imperial College London (2019–2021), the University of Bath (2018–2019), and the Energy & Bioproducts Research Institute (EBRI) at Aston University (2015–2018).My interdisciplinary research focuses on light–matter interactions, surface and interface chemistry, operando spectroelectrochemistry, and electrocatalysis for applications in batteries, green hydrogen production, CO₂ conversion, and organic valorisation to produce value-added chemicals and fuels.My research excellence is reflected in over 50 peer-reviewed publications (ORCID: with more than citations and an h-index of 34 (Google Scholar).I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and a Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (MRSC).Please get in touch if you have questions or are interested in collaboration or applying for a postdoctoral research fellowship.
