ABOUT SANTITOS ELENA RODRIGUEZ

Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work in a variety of industries and make a meaningful impact. During the “pharmacy wars,” I worked for CVS Pharmacy when they acquired Eckerd Drug Stores and Savon Drug Stores. It was a challenging and rewarding time, as I assisted with remodeling and retraining staff across Texas, California, Tennessee, and Florida. In addition to these responsibilities, I also served as a General Manager at a CVS location in Houston, Texas, where I honed my leadership and operational management skills. Later, I joined Walgreens, working in Fort Myers, Florida, before transferring back to Houston, where I continued to grow in my career. These experiences not only strengthened my expertise in team management and organizational change but also taught me the importance of adaptability and perseverance. Now, I am proud to be a Robotics Engineer teacher, where I have the privilege of teaching 10th-12th graders and inspiring them to explore careers in technology and engineering. In addition to my teaching role, I serve as a Decathlon Coach, a T-TESS Specialist, and the Career and Technology Education Department Chair. These roles allow me to support both students and colleagues in achieving their goals and pursuing innovation. With my own children now grown and living their own lives, I am looking forward to the next chapter of my career. I would love to find my dream job—one that allows me to travel, explore new opportunities, and maintain a healthy work-life balance. I’m excited to leverage my extensive experience in leadership, education, and operations in a role where I can continue to grow, make an impact, and enjoy life to the fullest.
