ABOUT KATIE FRASER
I’m an educator committed to expanding opportunity for young people through education and justice reform. Currently, I teach 8th grade U.S. History in Houston as a Teach For America corps member, where I work to make rigorous, engaging, and culturally responsive learning accessible to all students. In my first year of teaching, I was honored to be named Aldine ISD’s Rookie Teacher of the Year.Before entering the classroom, I studied at the University of Chicago, where my academic and professional experiences deepened my interest in how institutions shape young people’s lives. Across education policy, community-based research, and student advocacy, I have been drawn to work at the intersection of inequality, public systems, and youth well-being.I’m always excited to connect with others working in education, youth justice, public policy, and social impact.
