ABOUT SANGEETA VENKATESH

Sangeeta Venkatesh is a Post-Graduate in Biotechnology from M.S. University, Vadodara. Starting off as a Researcher at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, she went on to collaborate with with Canadian and American universities on various international biotech projects. She is currently Lead -Corporate Communications at Ecoparadigm Pvt Ltd- an environmental engineering company. Previously she was Research Director of SocioTech Innovation4Change- a social enterprise focusing on water, waste management, sanitation, and hygiene and also a consultant to a tsunami rehabilitation project with FIN Trust in Kameswaram, Tamil Nadu Sangeeta had also led the solid waste management group of a citizen initiative- Whitefield Rising spending hours working with communities as well as corporate India in formulating guidelines and methods on how to manage their waste. She and her team have come out with a learning workbook for middle school students called \'The Waste Issue\' that can be procured from writing to her or from the e-commerce site Amazon. As a freelance writer for 15 years, she has contributed to magazines such as Education World, Life Positive, Clean India Journal and newspapers such as Deccan Chronicle and Times of India. She has also written extensively for Chillibreeze, an online portal, for their clients. Deeply interested in Vedic ecology, she has published a book \"Celebrating the Earth- Stories about Prithvi\".
