First point of contact for HR queries; working closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. • Manage all employee relation matters to ensure all employees are treated fairly, provided with competitive wages, benefits and sound working conditions • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions) • Guide managers through employee relations cases in real time, intervening and steering in the appropriate direction while taking account of governing policies, employment law, best practices and precedents • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with legal council as required • Conduct stay and exit interviews, make recommendations as appropriate • Review Background checks for CA & US candidates • Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations • Present HR Onboarding to new Retail employees across CA, IE & US • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR team to develop solutions, programs and policies • Participate in creating and implementing Recognition Programs.
