ABOUT SANDRA CUMMINGS

Highly accomplished RICS Chartered NEC Project Manager with 25+ years of experience in the construction and property sectors, specialising in delivering complex projects & programmes and driving strategic growth. Currently a Director at AtkinsRéalis and a key member of the UK Leadership Team, Sandra combines strategic vision, commercial acumen, and collaborative leadership to achieve outstanding results.Notably, she served as Lead NEC3 Technical Advisor and Programme Director for the University of Glasgow’s £1bn Campus Expansion (2017–2024), successfully delivering world-class facilities for learning and research. Sandra also contributes to Governance and Strategic Development as a Member of the University of Edinburgh Court and Estates Committee.A passionate advocate for education and diversity, Sandra has held influential roles, including Chair of RICS Scotland (2023/24) — only the third woman to do so in 125 years — and served on the RICS Scotland Board for six years. Her industry contributions extend to mentoring, guest lecturing, and supporting professional development.
