My team and I are responsible for the edge platform handling every request processes by the Cloudflare network, including protocols, caching, routing and content delivery. The CDN spans more than 300 cities in over 100 countries and is responsible for handling more than 64 million HTTP requests per second at peak, with over 209Tbps of network capacity. As a platform we interface with nearly every Cloudflare product and engineering team to enable successful product releases and maximum performance and stability. We are also responsible for such customer-facing products as CDN, Spectrum, Rules, Speed, Regional Services, Error Pages and Protocols such as HTTP/2 and HTTP/3.
