ABOUT SAMIA RIZWAN

I am a second-year Law student at Aston University, aspiring to become a commercial solicitor at a leading international law firm. I began my legal studies at ONCAMPUS Aston, where I completed International Year One in Law with a First Class overall and was awarded the Student of the Year Award for Law, recognising my dedication and ability to excel in demanding academic settings.Beyond academics, I have strengthened my leadership and communication skills through ambassadorial roles. As a Student Ambassador for ONCAMPUS Global, I represent the institution at outreach events and mentor prospective students, while as an Ambassador for AllAboutLaw, I connect with aspiring lawyers and expand my commercial awareness. During my time at ONCAMPUS Aston, I was also an active member of the Aston Society, helping to organise events that fostered collaboration and community. Alongside my studies, I have gained two years of professional experience at LimeoX LLC, an international digital media company. As Digital Media & Operations Coordinator, I managed cross-functional teams, produced financial and P&L reports, and streamlined workflows for content strategy and analytics. I later progressed into a Commercial & Partnerships Associate role, where I facilitated negotiations, supported contract drafting and compliance, and oversaw financial performance and brand collaborations. These roles enhanced my analytical ability, financial acumen, commercial awareness, and negotiation skills—all of which directly support my ambition to advise clients on complex legal matters. I am also deeply passionate about women’s representation and inclusion in the legal profession and aim to contribute to initiatives that empower and inspire future generations of female lawyers. Future Goals:My ambition is to qualify as a commercial solicitor, combining my academic achievements, professional experience, and commercial insight to advise businesses with integrity and strategic clarity. I am actively seeking vacation schemes, internships, and training contracts to further develop the legal expertise and practical skills required for a successful career in commercial law.
