As a Junior Buyer at Interior Radar, I am responsible for managing and sourcing electronic components for our projects. My role involves several key tasks:eBOM (electronic Bill of Materials) Costing: Calculating the costs of components based on the requirements of each project.Cataloging Components: Selecting and organizing electronic components according to technical specifications and project needs.Collaboration with R&D: Working closely with the Research & Development teams to ensure the relevance and performance of the components used.Supplier Relations: Engaging with our American, Japanese, and German suppliers to identify new technological solutions and ensure the quality and availability of components.Negotiating with Suppliers: Seeking opportunities to optimize costs while maintaining high standards of quality and performance.RFQ, RFI, SoCo, and Pre-SoCo Management: Handling the creation and management of Requests for Quotes (RFQ), Requests for Information (RFI), and managing both SoCo (Source Costing) and Pre-SoCo processes to evaluate and select suppliers.Additionally, I regularly use key software systems to streamline procurement processes, including:PUMA: For supplier management and procurement operations.SAP: For managing material resources, inventory, and procurement.E-Proc: For handling electronic procurement and supplier interactions.
