ABOUT SAMHITA ARNI

I\'ve written and illustrated books, scripted graphic novels, scurried about on hectic film sets, taught school children and college students, worked in magazines and publishing, wrote stories to help people to sleep, and worked with organizations to harness the power of storytelling in their communications. I\'d call myself a creative professional with a diverse set of skills and experience. Now, I seek to integrate these experiences and skillsets with my own passion for mental health and psychological development. With this aim in mind, I\'ve been training and qualifying in Transactional Analysis, for the last four and a half years. I started writing my first book (The Mahabharata - A Child\'s View) when I was eight, and I was extremely fortunate that it\'s gone to achieve unexpected success, and be translated into eight languages. Sita\'s Ramayana, my second book, a collaboration with artist Moyna Chitrakar, was a New York Times Bestseller. In my late twenties, I set off to Afghanistan to head a script-writing room for a police procedural drama in Kabul. I\'ve taught over five hundred students, and my greatest success is having my students published and seen them win awards!
