ABOUT SAMEER M.
Simplifying complexity. Passionate trainer - committed to providing value to my co-workers at every interaction. Intensely curious - wide-eyed at the wonder of learning. Flying as captain and conducting training for the dynamic Flair Airlines, I bring with me over 36 years of diverse experience in the Aviation industry area of Flight operations; encompassing management, training/checking, compliance, audit and flying activities across full service/ULCC, wide-body/narrow-body and passenger/cargo operations in national, private and listed companies spanning multiple regulatory, demographic and meteorological environments. Following completion of my MBA, I was part of the flight operations management team at Emirates as Deputy Chief Pilot during 20••••08; a period of rapid expansion and change where I learned and participated in policy formulation and implementation, regulatory compliance, personnel/safety/project/audit management and training oversight. Following this, I moved into training/checking and more operational roles. Strongly self-motivated, I have undertaken initiatives that have contributed to the organization, the aviation fraternity, the community, and the development of co-workers. For example - Implemented and managed as part of a program driven by senior management the reduction of unstable approaches on the Airbus fleet to one of the lowest (near ‘0%’ for continued unstable approaches) globally- Represented Flight Operations (Fleet) for the IOSA with an audit result of zero findings and observations- Participated during a phase of rapid expansion (delivery of more than one aircraft/month) in the draft, publication, implementation and change management of numerous company operational policies and procedures- Initiated as part of the steering committee in the set-up of the ‘Aviation Professionals Club’ which provides a wide range of services and access to facilities for members- Volunteered with LIPS as a medical liaison and coordinator. LIPS was a peer-run association that provided loss of license support and benefits to pilots.
