I have substantial experience working in central and local government contributing to and supporting investment decisions, strategic development and horizon scanning.I have worked on building the evidence base and developing business cases, option appraisals, cost-effectiveness evaluations, forecasting, equality analysis, market valuation, market failure analysis, cost-benefit analysis and regulatory impact assessment, investment research and contingency planning.I\'ve also tendered, commissioned and project managed consultants for publications and developing specs. I\'ve enjoyed working in survey design, focus group development and developing research strategy.I am currently based back in Scotland with occasional periods in central asia.I work within the project delivery profession, rebuilding my career to specialise in research to support innovation within economic sectors. I enjoy building the evidence base and taking a critical look at problems. I love languages and grateful to brush up my russian and Kazakh when I can. I\'m currently very interested in consumer affairs, public transport, competitiveness and children\'s rights. I\'m keen to start volunteering again and looking for the right opportunities. I enjoy supporting students and connecting people to fresh opportunities. I also stay active and regularly run 5k and hopefully progressing to triathlon training. The way in which we were taught economics has never quite faded. It is a part of how I think, present problems and find solutions.
