Rome, IT

To get to a world with Zero Hunger faster, the World Food Programme is investing in and growing private sector fundraising and partnerships to reach more people. The Private Sector Partnerships Division (PSP) is responsible for engaging the private sector (corporations, individuals, foundations) through high-impact partnerships in support of WFP\'s strategic priorities, and through individual giving to build and retain support from the public worldwide. My role has been split between two functions. Firstly, the identification and securing of new private sector partnerships (funding and technical) in support of PSP’s Corporate Fundraising strategy. Including proactively identifying target top prospects for WFP, building a prospect pipeline and developing successful approaches to secure new multi-year, multi-million corporate partners. Secondly, supporting WFP’s regional bureaus and country offices to develop and execute private sector strategies.Key Achievements:o Ensuring WFP is ready to respond to any major emergency through creative outreach campaigns and appeals – leading to multi-million USD contributions from the private sector – for example USD 7.8 million secured in 2024/2025 for emergencies. Pioneered used of innovative tools to support emergencies - successfully fundraising for Ukraine, Syria, Gaza, Lebanon and Sudan. o Identification, development and management of new high value fundraising and technical (non-financial) partnerships worth $1m+. In my current contract period (2024/25) I led on and signed contracts for USD 43 million in total - more than four-fold the individual team target. o Key partnerships supported at WFP: Novo Nordisk Foundation, Grundfos Foundation, Euroclear, Coca Cola Foundation, Coupang, VISA Foundation, ABN AMRO, Zoetis, FIFA.o Supporting co-creation for new public-private partnerships – including a new USD 40 million between Novo Nordisk Foundation, Grundfos Foundation and the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs
