ABOUT SALLY PILLING

With over 20 years of experience in supply chain and operations in large enterprises and start-ups, I am most fulfilled when transforming complexity into solutions and supporting teams to move forward. I have enjoyed leading and contributing to cross-functional teams both nationally and internationally. I’ve met many interesting and talented individuals who generously shared their knowledge and experiences. I love this, as it keeps me growing and keeps life interesting. My journey through the highly regulated fields of medical devices, in vitro diagnostics (IVD), and advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMP) has led me to: • Launch new products and manufacturing processes, scale production, and craft global manufacturing strategies. • Lead global warehouse, distribution, and planning operations, optimise supply networks and support ERP implementations. • Establish KPIs and interactive dashboards to enhance data-driven decision-making and stakeholder engagement. • Build and nurture supplier relationships to collaboratively solve complex challenges. • Test my adaptability and resilience during critical moments, contributing to site buyouts, closures, significant manufacturing transfers, and disaster recovery efforts. Colleagues describe me as a dedicated and proactive professional who thrives under pressure, operates with integrity, and genuinely cares for others. I am known for ‘stepping up when others step back,’ ‘bringing order to chaos,’ and using my skills, experience, and humour to de-escalate a ‘spicy’ situation. This proactive nature and approachability provides a sense of security for those I work with, facilitating open and honest discussions and better outcomes.
