Overview:Led an applied research project focused on fusing thermal imaging and depth sensing to create intelligent 3D models for enhanced perception and analysis. The work involved data integration, visualization, and interface development to support scientific research and decision-making.Key Contributions: Integrated thermal data (OpenMV Lepton 3.5) and depth data (Intel RealSense D435) onto 3D STL models using CloudCompare and custom Python tools. Designed and began development of a data acquisition and verification website tailored for scientific usage. Built Python utilities to overlay thermal frames on 3D point cloud models, improving accuracy in scene perception and model inspection.
