He holds a Ph.D. from IIT Bombay, a Masters in Tool Engg. from Indo-Danish Tool Room, and a Bachelors in Mech. Engg. from Bangalore University. His research spans micro-nano scale manufacturing, modular-reconfigurable machines, and a diverse range of subjects, solidifying his standing as a expert in the field.At CSIR-CMERI, he pioneered \'Micro-Nano Systems Engineering,\' leading a team that developed 12 cutting-edge technologies, resulting in 5 successful tech transfers and recognition for 4 young scientists. He holds 9 patents, published 108 research articles, and guided 8 PhD and 15 M.Techs. His innovations include Reconfigurable Micro Factory, Micro-EDM Machine, Smart Foundry and several process technologies. As Director, he transformed CMTI mission as a technology developer, raising TRL of 65 potential technologies and fostering open innovation. In five years of his leadership, CMTI achieved remarkable milestones, including development of 30 new machines, 18 patents, 4 copyrights, and 4 trademarks. Furthermore, CMTI\'s proactive strategy resulted in successful technology licensing, significantly enhancing its prominence in manufacturing landscape.He received prestigious awards, including the \'BOYSCAST Fellowship\' and \'Raman Research Fellowship.\' In 2023, he became a Fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineers (FNAE).
