ABOUT SACHIN SHETTY

I’m a VP / Engineering Leader building AI-native data platforms at scale, with over 20 years of experience designing large-scale distributed systems and scaling the teams behind them from early inception to hundreds of millions in ARR. At Egnyte, I was among the early engineers and played a key role in scaling infrastructure to support 10B+ requests per day and hundreds of petabytes of unstructured data, while also building and leading global engineering organizations, including founding and growing the India Development Center to 300+ members. More recently, my work has centered on enabling Generative AI on real-world, petabyte-scale datasets, leading GenAI initiatives and building RAG-based AI infrastructure that operates reliably in highly regulated enterprise environments. I’m particularly focused on applying GenAI where it delivers tangible business value and on building systems that are both technically sound and genuinely useful. Across my career, I’ve led teams delivering 99.999% uptime, executed zero-downtime migrations for 14,000+ customers, and held 10+ patents in cloud systems and object storage.
