From a crazy dream to the leading e-commerce platform in Africa. IPO on the New York Stock Exchange in 2019. Built everything from scratch together with my partner Jeremy Hodara and the help of so many others for which I am forever grateful. Maybe I will write a book someday, let’s see!Chapter 1 : 10 years of McKinsey + Accuracy + Arthur Andersen/EY; learned everything I wanted to learn about how big business works: Strategy, Finance, Accounting, Organization, Politics (). Loved it, I would never have been able to build Jumia into a listed company without all this. Grew up in the south of France, studied in Lille (elected EDHEC of the year in 2018), lived in Paris, New York, Washington DC, Dubai, and have settled for good in Barcelona, the true paradise where culture meets business meets nature meets quality of life meets diversity and more. Married to Marion Sanchez, and parents of 3 kids (should I now say teenagers?). I love sports of all kinds.
