A strategic and results-oriented Chemical Engineer at The Estée Lauder Companies Inc, I specialize in cosmetics R&D, optimizing raw material selection for active formulations to enhance the impact, sensory experience, and clinical efficacy of leading beauty products. Leveraging empathy for consumer needs and a developer mindset for team growth, I effectively communicate complex findings to cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment on product development initiatives. My technical foundation includes prior experience at Dow Chemical, where I initiated and maintained efficient multi-unit chemical processes (like reactive distillation and heat exchangers) through meticulous analysis and proactive adjustments, while also developing team members through mentoring on processes and safety, and conducting key analytical testing (GC, viscometer, titrations). Further practical insights into cosmetic science and ingredient technology were gained through an internship at Robertet Group, which provided a strong foundation in fragrances, natural raw materials (e.g, rose damascena, citronella), olfactive targets, aromatherapy, and GC/MS analysis.
