The USFA was created in 2012 to address the unique needs of the nation\'s largest school districts. Its mission is to leverage the collective voice of 19 districts representing nearly 6,500 schools and 700 million meals served and one billion dollars in food procurement expenditure. As member of the Advisory Procurement WG, I bring local/regional grower insight in an effort to include this underutilized community as a critical element for improving school food quality and equity.
