As a Facilities Operations Specialist for WAPA\'s Sierra Nevada Region, I\'m responsible for overseeing the maintenance, operation, and sustainment of mission-critical facilities and infrastructure to ensure operational readiness and compliance with federal regulations. Key responsibilities include:Facilities Management & Operations: Oversee day-to-day operations of assigned facilities, ensuring proper maintenance, functionality, and compliance with organizational, agency, and industry standards.Project Planning & Execution: Develop, coordinate, and implement facility improvement projects, including renovations, upgrades, and repairs, in collaboration with craft personnel, contractors, and leadership.Asset & Maintenance Program Management: Manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs, utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, schedule inspections, and optimize asset lifecycle management.Budget & Resource Planning: Prepare cost estimates, develop procurement packages, manage funding allocations, and justify resource requirements for capital projects.Regulatory Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and DOE regulations, conducting facility inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to maintain compliance and operational integrity.Contract & Vendor Oversight: Coordinate with contracting officers and external vendors for service contracts, facility repairs, and maintenance contracts, ensuring performance and cost-effectiveness.This position requires technical expertise in facility management, strong leadership skills, and strategic planning capabilities to ensure Bulk Electric System (BES) mission readiness and operational efficiency.
