ABOUT RYAN GLEDHILL

Recognised in Chambers and Partners (2025–2026), I am a solicitor specialising in regulatory crime and health and safety.I advise corporates and public bodies on serious incidents, including workplace fatalities, inquests, HSE investigations and prosecutions, as well as broader regulatory and compliance matters. My practice spans both contentious and non-contentious work, including Crown Court proceedings, inquests, enforcement action and strategic advisory work.I act across a range of sectors including construction, infrastructure, utilities, hospitality and local government, supporting clients through high-profile and complex matters. This includes leading engagement with regulators, directing internal investigations and developing defence strategy. I have particular experience in inquests, including appearing as advocate, and in managing parallel regulatory and criminal risk.I have particular experience in complex Crown Court matters and regularly work alongside leading counsel on significant prosecutions. I also advise on sentencing strategy, DVSA matters and proceedings before the Traffic Commissioner.I am frequently instructed at the outset of serious incidents, advising on immediate response and early-stage risk. I am trusted by senior management to provide clear, pragmatic advice in high-pressure situations, acting as a key interface between clients, regulators and legal teams.
