The Head of Purchasing and Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement and operational functions of the organisation- Implement inventory control measures to reduce waste and improve service delivery- Train and support staff in operational procedures and best practices- Oversee product placement across the company’s operated estate- Manage staff holiday and bank holiday cover- Report to MD P/L operated service reports- Negotiate agreements with suppliers to secure favourable terms- Maintain relationships with suppliers and ensure timely delivery of goods and services- Oversee daily operations, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently-Analyse operational workflows and identify areas for improvement to enhance productivity-Implement best practices in logistics, and supply chain coordination-Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies-Conduct performance evaluations and provide training and development opportunities for team members-Coordinate cross-departmental efforts to align purchasing strategies with operational needs-Prepare and analyse regular reports on purchasing activities, inventory levels, and operational performance metrics-Use data analytics to inform decision-making and optimize purchasing and operational strategies-Present findings and recommendations to Managing Director- Process, match and approve Purchase Orders. Adjusting prices if necessary, using the pricing matrix to ensure profit margins are maintained- Oversee the Warehouse and Warehouse personnel.
