ABOUT RYAN HOVATTER
I am a full-time Active Guard Reserve (AGR) officer with the National Guard Bureau (NGB). I have more than fifteen years of service with the Florida Army National Guard and am committed to a long career with the Florida Guard and the NGB. I recently graduated from the resident Army Command and General Staff Officer Course at Fort Leavenworth with a Master of Military Art and Science (focus on history) where I was one of twelve Art of War Scholars. I commanded three companies in the 53d Infantry Brigade Combat Team and have experience on high-level staffs at the Army National Guard Directorate and the Office of the Secretary of Defense. I am a leader in my son\'s Cub Scout den, travel, photograph, and research and write about Florida National Guard history.
