ABOUT RUTH GRAY

A dedicated professional, with nearly 20 years’ experience working in and leading Portfolio Management Offices, across financial and retail organisations, for both IT and business change. I have built and improved ways of working within change governance utilising waterfall, lean and agile methodologies. I have a passion for building fit for purpose solutions, that deliver great results for the needs of the business I am supporting. I am now looking for an organisation that meets my values where I can use the skills, I have developed to make a real difference that matters. What I am most proud of•Designing and implementing an end-to-end project delivery process from scratch in my first 2 months in role at JD Sports, which has improved quality, visibility and consistency across the team.•At Sainsbury’s I pitched for and rolled out a portfolio management system, which saved the team £70k p.a. and allowed my team to refocus on provide insight to drive the strategy forward. I am now doing the same again but at a corporate level for JD Sports, and expecting higher results. •I designed a SharePoint site and process in less than a week to administer the Sainsbury’s contact centre COVID response and then ran that process so that all activities were documented, coordinated and communicated remotely. This allowed the core team to focus on providing the service to feed the nation. •Managing a diverse team of PMO Analysts to each deliver to their potential. This has included recruitment, induction, training and coaching. In my previous role this resulted in all 4 of my team gaining promotions.
