ABOUT ROXIE KEY
Me in a nutshell: I’m a versatile copywriter with over 6 years of experience (but I’ve been writing my whole life!), a marketer with over 14 years of experience within the beauty, fashion, homewares and baby goods industries, and a published crime fiction author with HarperCollins. I am currently working as a freelance writer, with several published articles to my name, as well as offering a content creation service. all whilst parenting the world’s most energetic three-year-old. Want to know more? My writing experience is broad, with a creative writing degree, a good chunk of copywriting for print and a healthy dose of digital copywriting under my belt – brochures, email newsletters, product descriptions, website copy, blogs, social media… I even went scuba diving in Ayia Napa for the purpose of writing a review for an online travel magazine. I like to think my published crime novel is official proof that I can write, but I guess you’ll have to read it and see for yourself! Intrigued? It\'s called The Deadly Spark and is available from all book shops (and Amazon, obv). Writing aside, my marketing experience sets me apart from the crowd, as I’ve been on both sides of the creative brief. Yep, I can put pen to paper and write copy that sparkles, with a keen ability to work with key stakeholders to shape copy based on their vision. But I also understand how to decode a creative brief to get to the root of what the client wants. Empathy goes a long way, and I have tonnes of the stuff, which makes me a great team player. I’m passionate about loads of stuff, but the environment, gender equality, LGBTQIA+ rights and protecting kids from AI and social media are the things that really get me going.
