Support Group for Victims of Rta\'s @Your Event Scotland
Edinburgh, GB
Following the loss of my first child - Ian, as a passenger, two days before his 23 rd birthday, I set up DYFAM - Don\'t You Forget About Me, after the Simple Minds song, which was the last song played at his funeral. We are not counsellors nor professionals - just unfortunately experienced in the loss of loved ones and the affects an RTA can have on everyone involved.I have worked on various campaigns including launching Scottish TV countryside road safety with the Transport Minister, Keith Brown, Aberdeen and shire with Safe Drive Stay Alive, Highlands and Islands with Sensible Driving Always Arriving, The First Minister re Graduated Licence Scheme and a number of others. The Glasgow base of Irwin Mitchell solicitors pro actively use our Group to direct their clients in need of support.and have sponsored us to hold a Battle of the DJs 2014 with Fat Boy Slim giving personal messages and support. Some of these DJ\'s have now gone on to create their own events in support of DYFAM.Even the likes of pop band \' Scouting for Girls \' have personally endorsed us along with superstar DJ Fatboy Slim dedicating a personal tribute to Ian at Rockness 2013 to the tune \"Right Here Right Now\" D••••@youreventscotland.com
